Position Description
Join our team and new contract award supporting the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Homeland Defense - Integrated Air Defense Systems (HD-IADS) mission. The Network Security Engineer will serve as the network security lead and work with the network and cybersecurity team to manage the security posture of all network devices. Work performed at the Joint Air Defense Operations Center - Development (JADOC-D) at the Redstone Arsenal, AL.
Primary responsibilities include:
Manage SIEM security alerts and determine appropriate response procedures
Manage and configure network devices such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and APs
Develop network documentation to include network diagrams, topologies, and dataflow diagrams
Complete Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Checklists to provide Information Assurance with necessary artifacts for RMF compliance
Ensure that all network devices meet Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) of Defense (DOD) directives and guidelines
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
An Active DoD Secret Clearance
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or greater certification (e.g., CCNP, CCIE)
4+ years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, or network administration
Excellent written and oral communication skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
