Electronic Security Systems Technician II - Washington DC - Secret Clearance Required

Serco is searching for an experienced Electronic Security Systems Technician II in support of The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Ashore Program in Washington, DC. The NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Sustainment Program is executed by the NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Program Management Office (PMO), NAVFAC Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) and NAVFAC regional Facilities Engineering Commands (FECs). This position is based out of Washington DC naval Base. The primary goal of the NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Sustainment Program is to provide both preventive and corrective maintenance services to Navy installations as required to sustain NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Program Systems in accordance with their operational requirements.
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Ashore Program's mission is to design, procure, integrate, install and sustain the systems/equipment hardware, associated firmware, and software required to provide the ability to protect mission-critical assets and personnel from natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other human-caused disasters.
This is a telecommute position, but you will be required to report onsite daily. Work is generally performed onsite where working conditions may vary. This position is based out of Washington DC.
In support of this effort the Electronic Security Systems Technician II will:
Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment including alarms, naval munitions, giant voice, cameras, intrusion detection, emergency operation centers, regional dispatch centers, gates, wide area alert, indoor voice, enterprise land mobile radio, dispatch activities, and support for regional and emergency operation centers as needed.
In addition the FSE trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
Will be relied upon to determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
Requires a bachelor's degree and 2 years experience OR HS Diploma with 4 years experience in the field.
Qualified candidate must have a current DoD Secret clearance. Requires the ability to access confidential/classified areas.
Must be able to travel locally and long distance as needed.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
