Summary You will serve as a Fuel Distribution System Worker in the Fuel Department of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will operate equipment to control movement of petroleum products. You will open and close valves in the proper sequence to provide an open pipeline from assigned tank to pier to accomplish off-loading of bulk fuels in accordance with written and verbal instructions. You will record valve and pump status on electronic control board and initiate, control and terminate fuel transfers. You will examine the bulk fuel piping system for leaks while it is under prescribed pressure and examine gauges, couplings, valves, strainers, flanges, exposed piping manifolds and electronically controlled hydraulic marine loading arms. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
