_SUMMARY:_ The Programmer Analyst reports to the Manager, Windows Production Systems and will be responsible for all aspects of application development. The goal is to successfully formulate and define systems scope and objectives and improve on our best practices within the information technology department. _OBJECTIVES:_ * Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through gathering data, research, and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. * Translate user requirements and system objectives into logical, economical, and practical system designs. * Maintains professional attitude and image and acts in such a manner as to enhance the image and credibility of the IT department. * Fosters a continuous improvement culture to advance all areas of the business and IT. _DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:_ * Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains programs. * Translate user requirements and system objectives into logical, economical, and practical system designs. * Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through gathering data, research, and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. * Prepares detail specifications from which programs will be written. * Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. * Seeks to gain an understanding of the AMI business functions, which he/she supports. * Responds to information requests from management, users, and peers. * Provides time estimates for projects requested. * Other duties as assigned. _KEY RELATIONSHIPS:_ * Business stakeholders * IT Team _EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:_ * Strong knowledge and skill in writing, math, reading and communications as well as an understanding of information system methodology, hardware, software and general business flows/procedures as typically acquired through an associate's degree in computer science or related experience. * Minimum 5 years of development experience in iSeries, Cobol400, DB2, SQL. * Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing within the IT environment and within the functional area. * Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and keep numerous projects on track. * Experience developing and promoting industry best practices within the IT environment. * Familiarity and/or prior experience with order processing, manufacturing/shopfloor, and/or account receivable type applications. * Ability to work with minimal supervision. #Indeed-Associated All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
