Our cafe serves our employees and to the public Tuesday through Friday 11 AM to 1:30 PM and we also host and cater events.As the head chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ordering supplies, and monitoring inventory levels.Duties and responsibilitiesDaily ProgramingTreats individuals with dignity and respect;Exemplify the culture and mission of the agency;Job Coach to employees, teaching them proper kitchen regulations and logistics of cooking, cleaning and customer service;Supervise and support individuals in their employment environments;Receiving orders for Cafi and Catering;Make the monthly Cafi menu;Organize the work schedule for staff and employees, ensuring an employee is participating in all Kitchen schedules;Organize Catering events and meals;Cooking and serving Catering events and meals;Maintain the kitchen budget;Ensure the Cafi is providing excellent customer service to the customers;Order all food and supplies needed for the Kitchen;Maintain inventory of dry storage, walk in cooler and freezer;Ensure proper kitchen regulations, procedures and safety guidelines are being followed;Ensure Employees are receiving 1:1 and group job coaching from kitchen staff; teaching kitchen standards, safety, customer service and fundamentals of cleaning and cooking;TeamworkTreats all individuals and coworkers with dignity, respect, and fairness;Be a team player;Work cooperatively with other departments to carry out the program goals and objectives of individuals served;Foster and maintain relationships will all levels of the RISE team.SafetyReports unsafe conditions, environment, and equipment to direct supervisor;Follows safety protocols to foster a safe working environment;All other duties as assigned.QualificationsMust be 18 years of age.Have high school diploma or equivalentMust have and maintain current drivers license and be able to obtain a Missouri Class E chauffeurs license within 14 days of hire date.Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and any subsequent background check after employment.Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, and will be subject to random drug and alcohol checks thereafter.Successfully complete employment-related training as directed.Skills and KnowledgeBe coachable and adoptablePossess basic computer skillsDemonstrates patience and compassionPossesses excellent interpersonal skillsBasic cooking skillsAttention to detailFlexible availability (Holidays, Nights, Weekends)Physical requirementsProlonged periods of standing, leaning, walking, bending, and lifting.Ability to lift/push/pull 50lbs.Direct ReportsKitchen Assistant
