Damuth Trane (Voted as one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia for 2021) is seeking a BAS Remote Support Specialist for our office in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Primary Role
Provide support to internal and external customers through remote connectivity, diagnostics and digital service of BAS systems and Service Agreements. Review, prioritize and facilitate service responses to open alarm notifications for Active Monitoring agreements. Provide BAS Service Agreement clients with -help desk- support (help clients navigate their control systems for schedules and setpoint changes, password management, etc.). Provide remote BAS support for Damuth Service Technicians. Perform operation inspections and quarterly maintenance on remote service agreement customers. Assist with quoted building automation projects remotely.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in HVAC equipment systems (to include Chilled Water Systems, Unitary and Airside systems), Trane Building Automation Systems, DDC controls, operation and service delivery. The BAS RSS provides building systems expertise to both internal and external customers via remote connectivity with the goal of a faster response time, enhanced customer experience, without the added cost or delay of a -truck roll-. When a need for an on-site technician is identified, the BAS RSS shall provide a remote hand-off to the dispatched or assigned technician.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities *Other duties as may be assigned.
Fulfill assigned BAS service contract obligations effectively and efficiently.
Provide remote support for service agreement customers and internal staff.
Utilize web access (Trane Connect) for secure connectivity.
Coordinate and communicate with assigned BAS Technicians and Systems Specialists for remote support of Service Agreements and BAS installations.
Perform scheduled remote preventative maintenance, inspections, digital site surveys, and remote service requests including modifications of system programming and database management as defined in the Service Agreement and assigned.
Maintain correspondence with Resource Coordinators daily to include all customer site visit log-ins and assignment of billable hours to the appropriate service agreements.
Desire to work in a collaborative environment to promote team and customer service goals.
Flexibility to work up top 10% overtime as the business requires.
Support Damuth technicians in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and development of solutions for any jobs or clients, as directed by the Service BAS Team Leader.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
Required - High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred - Minimum 6 years of combined experience in Commercial HVAC Service, BAS installation or BAS Service
Required - Minimum 2-years' experience with Trane Tracer Summit BCU and associated software tools (TGP, Rover, TU)
Required - Minimum 2-years' experience with Trane Tracer SC and associated software tools
Required - Minimum 2-years' experience use or service of Trane Unit Controllers
Required - Ability and desire to stay current with new Trane BAS software and hardware
Required - Ability and desire to stay current with evolving cyber security, firewalls and IT advancements
Required - Strong internet search skills
Desired - Experience with BACnet integration
Desired - Experience with BAS Network architecture and network security firewalls and standards
Required - Strong computer skills a must with working knowledge of:
