Project Controls Supervisor (Georgia Ash Pond Projects)

This posting is for a Project Controls Supervisor position:
This position will support the generating facilities in the Georgia Power footprint, with a primary focus on the GPC Ash Pond Projects.
WORK LOCATION
This position will be located in the Atlanta metro area. Candidates outside of the Atlanta metro area may be considered if they live within the Southeast region and can successfully telework and travel to work and/or field locations on a routine and as-needed basis. Travel would be a minimum of 25%.
This position will require a mix of both field and office work.
Some office work can be performed remotely (telework/work from home).
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the project controls portfolio management team and site level cost and schedule teams in support of the GPC Ash Pond projects. This includes:
Leading teams responsible for the site level cost and schedule management for the projects and for the portfolio management and reporting of project controls across the program
Providing direction to ensure consistent program and portfolio level analysis and reporting on Estimating, Cost, Schedule, Risk, Change Management, Quantity tracking, and Earned Value Management
Support data requests for regulatory filings and inquiries
Provide strategic planning for all aspects of project controls for the program
Provide performance management for full-time employees and lead a team of supplemental workers
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Experience:
Minimum 5 years working directly in project controls/project management/construction management required
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders and customers is required
Experience supervising a team, setting priorities, managing resources, putting strategic objectives into place, and providing performance management is required
Experience with project controls methodologies and/or program/portfolio level analysis and reporting for large capital projects required
Previous experience with ash pond closure projects desired
Knowledge:
Knowledge of project costing, estimating, scheduling, change and risk management techniques, methods, and procedures
Knowledge of construction and engineering productivity/earned value processes
Knowledge of project delivery / front end planning process

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Cost Management:
Leads the consistent implementation and adherence to the cost management guidelines for the site and portfolio
Supervises cost reviews and analysis for the site and portfolio; Ensures accuracy of data and reporting to our customers and stakeholders
Oversees estimating and quantity trending and analysis, including Earned Value Management
Schedule Management:
Leads the consistent implementation and adherence to the schedule management guidelines for the site and portfolio
Ensures the site and portfolio schedule progress is communicated effectively to customers and stakeholders
Oversees the analysis of schedule trends and ensures contingency and mitigation plans are developed
Risk and Change Management:
Leads the consistent implementation and adherence to the risk and change management guidelines for the site and portfolio
Oversees the Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) process and implementation
Ensures Change Control Board guidelines and presentations are implemented, fully developed, and adhered to
Other:
Thoroughly understands and oversees the consistent implementation of Project Controls documents and procedures
Supports timely responses to data requests for regulatory filings and inquiries
Customer Relations:
Proactively investigates shortcomings and unserved needs and prepares recommendations and business cases as appropriate. Assesses effectiveness of improvement initiatives post-implementation and plans corrective actions as appropriate. Holds team accountable for delivering promised service levels and assists in preparing plans to achieve service levels.

Regular visits to sites in Georgia are required.
