We have an exciting opportunity on our Logistics Decision Support team as Senior Supply Chain Analyst!
With the continued growth of this department, we have created a new role to help build and lead a team of Power BI Report Developer and supply chain analyst associates. This role will assist in the strategy and analysis of our all domestic, final mile and international logistics. The ideal candidate would have experience in logistics and ability to build reports and analyze data. This role will also assist in leading a small team, on-boarding of new technology and the use of the technology in the field locations.
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst helps prepare and issue regular reporting and analyses to illustrate and explain variables that impact parcel, LTL, international, final mile, technology use and compliance, supply chain challenges, and trends in the mix of businesses. This individual works in partnership with VP, Senior Director, logistics teams, and field leadership in the effort to supply accurate and timely data and insights in the performance of all Ferguson business units.
Location: This role is based in Newport News, VA. We offer a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in Office and 2 days remote, but being within daily commuting distance to the Newport News HQ is necessary.
Job duties:
Assist in on-boarding and enhancing technology; become Ferguson's subject matter expert.
Develop and recommend specific courses of action based on analysis of special requests for management or internally generated opportunities.
Assist in the maintenance and creation global logistics SOP's
Develop the supply chain with partnered vendors to achieve target business results that create and maintain a competitive advantage for the Company.
Assist in design, development, and implementation of data gathering and analysis tools and processes.
Drives collaborations with suppliers and key partners internally and externally, supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain final mile.
Oversee a significant Supply Chain process or function and manage all aspects of executing said process or function.
Educate others throughout the organization on Supply Chain management and its impact on roles and collective opportunities.
Address, report, and resolve areas of risk or weakness in Ferguson's global logistics organization.
Preferred experience:
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in supply chain, finance, or distribution analysis
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in supply chain, engineering, data, Business, Logistics, Mathematics, or similar subject area preferred
Strong analytical skills including the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets with attention to detail and accuracy
Intuition for business & a good understanding of supply chain processes (i.e.: warehouse management, purchasing, and inventory)

Excellent communication & presentation skills
Able to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative environment
Knowledge of statistical concepts as well as analytical methodologies
Robust knowledge of and experience with business intelligence tools such as Excel, SQL, PowerBI or Tableau
