WORK LOCATION

  • This position will be based out of Metro Atlanta (Forest Park, GA), however candidates living outside of the area may be considered with the expectation that they could successfully telework and would be willing to travel to work and/or field location on a routine (to be determined) and as-needed basis.

  • This position will require a mix of both field and office work.

  • Some office work can be performed remotely (telework/work from home).

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and reporting of engineering, procurement, and construction schedules for assigned projects.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • College diploma or university degree in an engineering, technical, or business field or minimum 7 years relevant experience required.

Experience:

  • Experience working directly in project controls/project management/construction management required.

  • 5 years project controls/project management/construction management experience highly desired.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment required.

  • In depth knowledge of Primavera software required.

Knowledge:

  • Above average understanding of project scheduling techniques along with knowledge and understanding of project controls methods, procedures, and scheduling tools.

  • Knowledge of construction and engineering productivity/earned value processes.

  • Knowledge of project management principles.

  • Knowledge of proper change management tracking and implementation.

Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills including Primavera and all Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent oral, written, and facilitation skills are essential.

  • Self-motivated with attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to perform all job requirements with minimal supervision.

  • Exhibit ability to work closely with project and construction managers, procurement, and departmental members to ensure consistency and standardization on all projects.

  • Innovative learner with ability to bring fresh ideas to the team.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Schedule Development and Maintenance: Develop and maintain the schedules for assigned projects, per the project controls scheduling standards and guidelines. Monitor adherence to project scope and ensure change management has been integrated into the schedule. Ensure schedule update process is followed and hold vendors / contractors accountable to our scheduling standards.

  2. Schedule Reporting: Ensure schedule reporting requirements are met. Work with the project team to identify and develop project-specific reports. Ability to discern schedule issues and address appropriately and timely.

  3. Customer Relations: Serves as the scheduler for assigned projects. Work closely with project team and customers to ensure scheduling deliverables meet or exceed expectations. Exhibits ability to work well with project managers, procurement, engineering, construction, and project controls personnel.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel may be up to 50%, at times.
