Responsible for development and oversight of enterprise test automation strategies and functions ensuring the highest quality delivery of systems including; test strategy framework, technical test leadership, standardized test architecture, and associated methodologies and process architecture, test planning for strategic/complex initiatives, test automation strategy, end to end test strategy, and test environment strategy requirements.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Plays a leadership role in the design, development, and implementation of automation components.

  • Coordinates and identifies test cases to automate.

  • Mentors staff in testing automation processes.

  • Provides consultation to projects and application support groups regarding automation design, development, and execution.

  • Develops linkage from test cases to test automation.

  • Understands organizational impacts and trade-offs of automation processes.

  • Plays a leadership role in managing resources from alternate development centers.

  • Review all project related test assets for completeness and quality.

  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts (Mostly automation inclined)

  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.

  • Report issues, triage defects, monitor debugging process results and test the bug fix.

  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

  • Collects testing metrics, reports status as defined in test plan with supporting data.

  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet business needs.

  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.

  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

  • Provide consultation/mentoring to staff members and application support groups regarding quality and testing.

  • Participate in the transition of software and systems into production.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years of testing automation experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Quality certification such as CMQ, CQA, CQPA, CQT, CSQE, or CSSBB strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of PEGA PRPC required

  • Good knowledge on working with the tools like Cucumber, Selenium, Junit, JAVA, Maven, BitBucket, Bamboo, Jira and Confluence required

  • Experience with ATDD process flow and Gherkin scripts for writing acceptance tests.

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and Agile Testing Process
