CTG is seeking to fill aBiologistopening for our client in Chesterfield, MO.
Location: Chesterfield, MO
Duration: 12 months+
Overview:
We are seeking a highly talented and enthusiastic biologist with an interest in plant physiology, cell culture, in vitro assays, molecular biology, controlled environment, and greenhouse management.
Skills:
• Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office, Excel, database, data analysis software and basic bioinformatics tools.
• Attention to details, strong experimental design, data analysis and interpretation skills, strong ability to work in a team setting, and strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
Experience:
• Candidate will be expected to routinely perform plant tissue culture and transformation, in vitro culture, and handle the growth and maintenance of crops in controlled environment and in the laboratory.
• The successful candidate will assist in the execution and documentation of experiments. Ability to interpret experimental results is required.
• This position requires a highly motivated and results-oriented team player with excellent oral and written communication skills and scientific depth.
Education:
• Applicants should have a degree in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or other related field with 5+ years of laboratory or plant care experience.
• Candidates with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree are desired.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
