The Leidos Intelligence Group has a career opportunity in Columbia, MD. for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). We are looking for a versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environments and who have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides support to the Information system Security Manager (ISSM) for maintaining the appropriate operational IA posture for a system, program, organization, and enclave's.
Self-Starter, capable of working independently with little or no supervision.
Conduct ISSO responsibilities to include the approval of change request, review of audit logs, review of system accounts, and analysis of vulnerability scans.
Maintains operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information. systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.
Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations of the system.
Provides configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
Assist with the preparation and reviews documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages.
Thorough understanding of the RMF process (Risk Management Framework).
Coordinate with System Administrators and others to remediate all vulnerabilities and report results. Track open vulnerabilities and obtain and document approvals while managing POA&M status.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information security, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related discipline, or 8-12 years or additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Possess a current DoD 8570.01 compliant certification for IAM Level I or higher
Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) cyber security requirements and guidance, cyber security related risk management techniques.
Experience preparing and maintaining SSP or security related documentation.
Must be able to work in a constantly changing regulatory environment with short-, mid- and long-term timelines for remediating any non-compliance.
Must be able to work well within a small team environment and able to adapt quickly to change.
Past or current ISSM/ISSO, System Administrator, or Security experience as an CSSO with experience working with DoD & DCSA.
Possess good social skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
Preferred Qualifications
Must Have an Active Current Top Secret clearance with SCI w/poly to be considered for this role.
Experience conducting security audits of information systems.
Cyber and/or IT certification such as Security + CE
Vulnerability assessment and analysis experience utilizing SCAP, NESSUS and DISA STIGs.
Experience with DoD implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and governing directives (NIST, CNSS, DSS, etc.).
Must have excellent interpersonal skills

Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
