Reporting to the Senior Manager - Continuous Improvement, you will use your problem-solving abilities and LEAN concepts to identify, recommend and guide projects across the factory, supporting CPS (Caterpillar Production System) improvements and initiatives.
Among other responsibilities, as the LEAN Black Belt, you can expect to:
Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering teams to support sustainable process improvement by diagnosing complex business problems and providing recommended treatment plans to deliver process improvements through the implementation of LEAN.
Manage project tracing plans, ensuring they are up to date.
Use 6 Sigma and project management methodologies to manage, and support projects related to LEAN process transformations.
Lead, coach, teach and develop others to use the tools and methodologies of LEAN to drive sustained Continuous Improvement.
Plan and execute Kaizen events.
To be successful in this role, you must have (Basic Qualifications) :
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a business or technical curriculum that includes a LEAN curriculum.
LEAN related work experience or internship.
A 6 Sigma Green Belt (through training) and/or have attended training in Agile.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

The ability to influence without direct authority.
An understanding of financials and analytics.
Data management abilities.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
