Position Description
Serco is seeking a Junior Instructional Designer to join our team at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA, who will report to the Senior ISD/Contract Project Manager. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact in federal law enforcement training!
In this role you will:
Update and maintain course content for instructor-led and web-based courses.
Work with subject matter experts and instructors to design and develop lesson plans, student guides, quizzes, and other elements of scenario-based and performance-based instructor-led and web-based training under the guidance of a Sr. ISD.
Work with an instructional design team (instructional designers, graphic artists, SMEs, instructors) and project and program managers to design responsive training and/or performance support solutions and schedules.
Demonstrate knowledge of law enforcement and leadership training principles and assisting the Senior ISD in fostering design innovation in training these areas.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
U.S. Citizenship
A Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design or a related field plus 3-5 years of relevant experience
The ability to coordinate and work effectively with subject matter experts and as part of an Instructional Design team.
Experience developing instructor-led and web-based systems training for the federal Government
Demonstrated ability with word-processing and presentation tools (e.g. Microsoft Word and PowerPoint) as well as web-based training and simulation tools
Demonstrated ability to present complex information clearly
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills, facilitation, interpersonal and client interaction skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Proven experience as a team player
Familiarity or experience with federal law enforcement training and subject matter
Familiarity or experience with accredited training program requirements
This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain/maintain/transfer your Public Trust clearance.
Additional desired experience and skills:
Experience designing and developing federal law enforcement training
Experience working on FLETA courses
