  • Load and unload local trucks, generate packing slips to make shipments to local suppliers for secondary operations.

  • Move and final out production orders from manufacturing lines

  • Check paperwork to determine accuracy. If there are no discrepancies, enter into system.

  • Generate transfer orders and make inter-plant shipments.

  • Move materials and product between the scale/dock and operators.

  • Move materials/products in plant as required.

  • Once incoming product has passed inspection, put away product in proper location.

  • Handle daily UPS shipment.

  • Check forklift in the AM to assure that it is in proper operational condition.

  • Schedule and perform weekly cycle counts.

  • Weigh and dump daily production scrap using the provided software.

  • Report discrepancies and use 5-Why to analyze root cause

  • Take preventative and corrective actions on inventory inaccuracy

  • Maintain housekeeping in the common areas and dock areas.

  • High School Diploma / GED, preferred

  • 1-3 related years' experience

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to recognize and identify parts, problems, and offer resolution.

  • Ability to read blueprints / specification sheets and follow instructions.

  • Successfully complete supplemental training (i.e. blueprint reading, technical math, and measurement tools) Ability to pass level proficiency test within 12 months

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this position, within typical manufacturing working conditions. While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to fumes, heat and dust, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a manufacturing environment. This manufacturing plant is not air conditioned. The noise level in the work environment is high when exposed to the manufacturing areas. Certain personal protective equipment is required when in the manufacturing areas. Having to work or come in off-shift may be required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to walk, stand, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to sit. The employee must often lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
