What You'll Do Here:

As the Senior Salesforce Platform Manager, you will play a pivotal role in growing critical capabilities within the Cengage Work business unit. You will lead the strategic direction and management of our Salesforce platform, ensuring it aligns with our business objectives and supports our growth. You will make critical trade-offs between features and time-to-market to ensure business commitments for delivery and quality are met and value is delivered.

Strategy and Planning: Develop and drive the strategic vision and roadmap for Salesforce, ensuring it's aligned with Cengage Work's business goals and objectives. Find opportunities to optimize and enhance the platform to meet evolving business needs.

Platform Management: Be responsible for the overall management, administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Salesforce platform.

Team Leadership and Management: Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to a team of Salesforce administrators, developers, and analysts.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment between business objectives and platform capabilities.

Governance and Compliance: Establish and implement best practices, processes, and governance standards.

Vendor Management: Manage relationships with Salesforce vendors, consultants, and partners. Enhance our platform by evaluating and selecting third-party applications, integrations, or services.

Be an integrator: Regularly share vision, roadmaps, progress and dependencies, ensuring alignment on dependencies and risks.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with Salesforce releases and new features. Find opportunities for process improvement, system optimization, and automation to drive efficiency and enhance user experience.

Experience and Skills You Will Need Here:

  • 5+ years of Salesforce experience required, including hands-on administration, configuration, and customization. A deep understanding of Salesforce capabilities, standard methodologies, and industry trends.

  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team, including setting performance expectations, providing mentorship, and fostering professional growth. Strong leadership skills to guide the team through complex projects and drive collaboration.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and driving strategic plans for Salesforce implementations, including roadmap development, prioritization, and resource allocation.

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification is required.

  • Ability to adjust, prioritize and re-align delivery in response to changing business needs.

  • Technical proficiency and the ability to understand, discuss, and challenge architectural concepts, tradeoffs, and new opportunities with technical team members.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers at all levels.

  • Proficiency with Agile, Continuous Integration/Development, or SDLC models.

  • BA or equivalent experience, CS or business degree a plus.

Base Pay Range

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

$111,500.00 - $178,400.00 USD
