Yakima Waste, a Waste Connections company , is looking for an Office Manager to join their team in Yakima, WA!

Shift is full-time Monday through Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead 10 Customer Service Representatives/office personnel on a daily basis. Including hiring, development and performance management through training, work allocation, employee evaluations, problem resolution and enforcing progressive discipline when necessary.

  • Addressing escalated customer phone calls and assisting customers in a professional manner.

  • Cover/support customer service representative shifts as business needs require.

  • Approaching all encounters with employees, customers and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

  • Review new customer accounts and audit reports to identify account errors.

  • Regular interaction with other departments (billing, sales, dispatch, maintenance, operations) to encourage a collaborative work environment and address immediate issues.

  • Manage daily administrative operations of a department including establishing work priorities; assist in resolving problems related to the day-to-day operations of the department.

  • Oversee office equipment and schedule maintenance as needed.

  • Review and approve work orders and account adjustments on a daily basis.

  • Oversee collections progress throughout the month, and re-allocate resources as needed.

  • Review accounts with credit balances and request refund checks.

  • Manage accounts payable, balance cash log, make deposits, and handle end of month billing.

  • Review and approve payroll time punches for the department on a daily basis. Correct unmatched punches. Approve PTO requests.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of reporting procedures; oversee integrity of customer billing.

  • Planning & leading weekly team meetings, celebrating team success, maintaining and encouraging high morale.

  • Other duties assigned as needed

  • Promote Waste Connections standard operating procedures, which assure efficient environmentally correct and safe workplace practices.

  • Demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 3 years directly related management expertise in administration

  • Management experience in a call center environment is preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Word and Excel

  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments

  • Organizing and coordinating skills

  • Knowledge of accounting procedures

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written

  • Knowledge of management principles and practices

  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems

  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports

  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
