Purpose of PositionThe purpose of this position is to perform case preparation, specialized legal work, and management tasks for child support cases in the Springfield Regional Prosecutors Child Support Office. A Child Support Technician will work on child support cases referred to this office by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Family Support Division, and Child Support Program, for the establishment of paternity and/or support orders or for the enforcement of both administrative and judicial orders (both in state and those using UIFSA/FFCCSOA). A Child Support Technician will serve under the direction of the First Assistant Prosecuting Attorney/Director and the Office Manager/Supervisor of the Child Support Unit in the Office of the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney.Minimum Training and ExperienceRequired to Perform Essential Job Functions Preference will be given to candidates that have a Bachelor's degree in human services field or legal field, one year experience related to child support enforcement, or an Associate degree and three years of experience. Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities may apply. Ability to navigate Microsoft Office 2007 programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook email.
