The Account Manager will develop strong customer relationships and manage accounts within their assigned territory by developing and implementing selling programs and proactive customer service policies with instructors and department heads in the High School/CTE market segment. A strong emphasis will be on digital conversion/sales. The core mission is to increase sales by stated quotas while adding new customers and guarding against attrition of existing accounts.
What you'll do here:
Manage existing accounts: grow sales of products and services through solution selling methods, understand changing customer needs, work with customer support to insure proper fulfillment of orders and digital delivery.
Identify new school programs and those using competitor curriculum and convert to Milady; maintain quality contacts and employ company resources as needed to close sales.
Work with Implementation & Training Specialists to convert and close digital sales.
Become a beauty industry and Milady product expert. Understand the High School/CTE business and their unique needs as well as each state's licensing requirements and available funding.
Become proficient in Magellan, SalesForce, E1 and Datawarehouse, and use these sales and marketing tools to their full capability.
Reach all assigned sales goals.
Prepare complete, accurate, detailed reports within established timelines: customer reports, trip reports, weekly reports, monthly reports, and special reports as requested.
Develop and implement strategic plans which maximize sales opportunities.
Attend assigned trade shows to foster relationships, promote product and close sales. Conduct school visits with key accounts to address strategic initiatives.
Skills You Will Need Here:
Required
Some college course completion
3+ Years of sales experience, showcasing a successful track record in a consultative sales position; demonstrated results in the needs-based selling process; and territory management
Self-motivated, goal achiever with a strong work ethic
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and a desire to influence and persuade people
Strong organizational, time management, and personal skills to successfully communicate and negotiate with internal and external customers
Advanced computer skills and knowledge (including Excel) are necessary to manage assigned duties as well as educating customers on new content delivery platforms and programs
Flexibility and adaptability to change
Ability to travel overnight as required to attend conferences as needed
Preferred:
AA/AS degree
Beauty and Wellness Industry experience
High School/CTE market experience
