General Summary:
Provides the tools and skills necessary to implement the Development Process for employees. Assists employees with career development. Coordinates the orientation and training processes for new District Managers and other field employees as necessary.
Manages the District Manager training process, including administration, execution, facilitation, and evaluation of current and future programs. 40%
Coordinates the District Manager training program processes. 20%
Coordinates new processes, new content and new technology training in conjunction with our continuous improvement process. 10%
Redesigns and monitors the District Manager and other field employee development programs by improving the selection of content and subject matter experts that are part of the training programs. 10%
Teaches District Managers to develop leadership skills in Store Managers; trains District Managers and other field employees about employee evaluation and development. 10%
May teach managers performance management skills. Assists management team with determining individual career development. 10%
Thorough working knowledge of Dollar General policies and processes.

Work Experience and/or Education:
Bachelor's degree in education or human resource development preferred.
Two to four years experience in employee training and development or in a human resources position with an employee development emphasis.
Most of work is conducted in an office setting, physical classroom or virtual classroom. Field travel may be required.
