Job Description

_SUMMARY:_ Reporting to the Benefits Manager, the Benefits Specialist provides administrative support for all U.S. health benefit programs, retirement programs, and leaves of absence administration. This position is classified as non-exempt salaried. _OBJECTIVES:_ * Ensure accuracy and compliance for health, retirement, and leave benefit programs and processes * Support key process improvement and cost management initiatives * Support benefit communication strategy _DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:_ * Handle day-to-day coordination of all health and retirement benefit plans * Administer FMLA, leave of absence, and disability benefit programs * Assist employees with benefits questions * Research and resolve issues using internal and external benefit resources * Assist with payroll related benefit deductions * Utilize online benefits enrollment software to perform daily tasks * Support COVID-19 related activity & absence tracking * Perform recurring tasks and transactions * Coordinate open enrollment activities * Contribute to projects that will continue to improve the benefits experience _KEY RELATIONSHIPS:_ * Internal HR Business Partners * Benefits Vendors and Advisors * Payroll Department EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required: * 2+ years administrative experience in Benefits * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; friendly and professional demeanor * Strong organizational skills: proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment * Attention to detail and thorough follow through; ability to meet deadlines * Ability to maintain the confidentiality, sensitivity, and security of information * Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); intermediate Excel skills preferred Desired: * 4-year degree (Human Resources, Business) * Prior experience with FMLA and leave of absence administration, retirement plan administration * Familiarity using an online benefits enrollment platform and HRIS database All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
