Position Summary
The Business Intelligence Developer within the Workforce Planning and Analytics team will play a pivotal role to transform complex data into visually compelling stories that assist in driving strategic and tactical workforce decisions. The role will be responsible for conducting exploratory analysis of workforce data to derive meaningful insights, defining business requirements for data, and creating visual representations of data for stakeholders. Data tools utilized will include SQL, PowerBI, and Oracle Analytics. Our ideal candidate has a proven ability to derive insights from large amounts of data with a knack for visual design and storytelling. They should be comfortable with the full analytics development life cycle and have a deep understanding of data mining and extraction techniques. Successful projects will result in creation of high-quality, insightful, and easy-to-understand visuals that provide insights into workforce strategies and drive business use cases.
Responsibilities
Conduct exploratory analysis of workforce data to identify insights that will be useful in workforce planning and workforce decision making
Document requirements through collaboration with stakeholders to understand their business objectives and formulate data-driven solutions tailored to these goals
Design interactive dashboards and reports which transform large complex datasets into concise, insightful, and easy to understand visual representations.
Ensure successful delivery of visualization tools to end users through documentation, communication, and training
Maintain visualization environment with priority on organization and performance optimization
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across workforce BI tools, workforce metrics, and workforce data definitions
Ideal candidate will have a very strong Oracle background building reports and extracting data on Oracle BI Publisher platform.
Job Requirements
Bachelors' or above in quantitative discipline: MIS, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience working in the following fields: Data Engineer, Analytics Development, Data Science, or Business Intelligence Development
Experience with Oracle HCM Analytics platform (Oracle BI Publisher) required
Experience working with Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualization software
Experience designing and building data visualizations with an understanding of the appropriate chart types to use to highlight patterns in the data
Experience using SQL to analyze large, complex volumes of data to transform the data into actionable insights
Strong business acumen and requirements gathering skills, with ability to link workforce analytics to business objectives
Proven ability to succeed in collaborative environments with cross-functional stakeholders and also in independent work environments.
Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively to audiences of varying technical levels
Flexibility to function in a full stack data development/reporting capacity including ad-hoc analysis and visualization development as needed
