Role Summary: Supports go-to-market initiatives and sales execution as a subject matter expert for Cat Grade / machine control and guidance, including digital jobsite management solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the subject matter expert for the field team and dealers for the overall Cat Grade portfolio (machine and digital platform).

  • Develop and provide training to regional specific situations. Deliver training about the overall Cat Grade solution, installation, machine operation, digital platform, basic trouble shooting, 3D digital platform and offering to Cat internal and dealer organizations.

  • Support internal partners, dealers and customers with the on-site installation, calibration, commissioning, operation and basic trouble shooting of the 2D / 3D Grade systems, including digital platforms, infrastructure & digital terrain models if applicable.

  • Support Go-To-Market execution of Cat Grade in the region and specific dealer initiatives as part of their technology growth plans.

  • Work with the technology and machine product marketing and sales team to understand the competitive battlefield, taking a global perspective in feeding the 'voice of customer' back into the organization & engineering teams as functional requirements to support future NPI (New Product Introduction) programs.

What You Have

  • Progressively responsible job-related experience in marketing, sales, engineering or new product development.

  • Ability to articulate technical performance and application knowledge to be regarded as the "subject matter expert" in 2D / 3D Grade, including machine integration, jobsite GPS / radio infrastructure and handling of digital terrain models.

  • Experience with construction industry segments and technologies which help customer's jobsite efficiency and safety.

  • Effective communicator, strong customer focus, strong relationship management skills.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Top Candidates Will Also Bring

  • Experience in a similar role in 3D machine control and guidance.

  • Additional experience in the technology field for Construction Industries or Mining.

  • Knowledge of Caterpillar's Construction Industries product line, CAT sales execution model and dealer organization.

This role can be located within commutable distance to one of our existing, US Caterpillar offices. Preferred work locations however are Denver CO; Peoria, IL; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Atlanta, GA; Raleigh, NC.

Summary Pay Range:

$104,112.00 - $156,168.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
