Be part of an excisting team at NAVSEA supporting the DDG 1000 Program bringing inoovative technologies to the US Navy!

Professional military analyst on projects or programs that are related to the DDG 1000 ZUMULT Training Facility (ZTF) and associated training products. Leads and/or participates in working groups, program development forums, analytical activities, readiness exercises, training, education and other forums as required to accomplish contract requirements.

The DDG 1000 Program Analyst will work under the direction of a project, program, and/or division manager, and within the scope of work derived from a contract with a government customer, performs multi-faceted assignments requiring the analysis and synthesis of complex systems and projects. This position requires ability to utilize effective theory, concepts and principles in the development and implementation of analytic models and systems. The Program Analyst will be a subject-matter expert in the field and in certain client communities; have experience anticipating future requirements; developing and evaluating plans for various projects or program activities to meet requirements; assessing and recommending the feasibility of proposed approaches to solve problems; and should have knowledge of applicable operational mission areas and national defense requirements.

The DDG 1000 Program Analyst will:

  • Manage multiple working groups including the Navy Training System Plan (NTSP), ZTF Facilities, and DDG 1000 Training Product Development.

  • Record and preparat minutes for meetings and working groups. Track and follow up on action items for the DDG 1000 Program.

  • Facilitate the resolution of issues arising from the stand up of the ZTF and associated interim and life cycle training solutions.

  • Communicate and work closely with senior level civilian and military personnel.

  • Utilize effective concepts and principles in the performance of a variety of projects.

  • Anticipate potential future Navy training requirements.

  • Develop and evaluate plans for various projects or program activities to meet shore based training requirements.

  • Assess and recommend the feasibility of proposed approaches to solve problems.

  • Demonstrate excellent writing and presentation skills to translate ideas into briefings, documents, papers, conceptual, and analytical reports for clients.

  • Provide recommendations to government senior-level staff.

  • Apply operational background and experience gained from military service and leadership roles, as well as operational proficiency in advanced analytic theory and principles, to solve current and/or future training needs or to correct problem areas.

  • Initiate and develop operational ideas in training specialty area.Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct large projects or several small training device projects.Prepare or coordinate the preparation of training device process documentation as required.Develop briefing slides and meterials for senior leadership.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

The DDG 1000 Program Analyst must have:

  • An Active Secret Clearance is required at time of application.

  • In some cases Clearance requirements may be adjusted and sponsorship may be considered for prior DoD or Navy experiencee.

  • A Bachelor's degree plus 2-4 years directly relevant work experience.

  • In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 7 years applicable work experience.

  • Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

  • Former Navy Surface Warfare and or Navy Training experience

  • Knowledge and experience in U.S. Navy programs.

  • Expertise level abilities using Microsoft applications, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Desired Experience:

  • Navy training experience a plus.

  • Prior DDG 1000 Experience highly desired.
