Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist in the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk (FLCN), Supply Management Department Mid-Atlantic, Hampton Roads Division of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will supervise and support for the day-to-day management of the Navy?s Repairable and Consumable inventory known as the Navy Working Capital Fund ? Supply Management (NWCFSM). You will supervise the preparation of annual inventory schedule, validating all stock physical inventory adjustments and preparation of causative research packages. You will establish procedures for implementation of all new mechanized. programs used by the detachment. You will participate in formal/informal meetings and briefings to present study results and recommendations to management officials. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments. You will ensure that the commands quality and timeliness goals are met by performing core workload duties. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifying inventory processing errors (i.e., receipt and/or issue procedures) and correcting inventory discrepancies as they occur; 2) Reviewing/analyzing automated supply support systems (NALCOMIS, NERP and Perpetual Inventory database) as they apply to Inventory transactions and inventory management; 3)Working knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of managing the physical receipt, storage, packing and shipping of material to conduct studies, analyze findings, and make recommendations; 4) Working knowledge of all physical distribution and material accountability operations.
