Overview
Team Overview: The Lending Risk Office is responsible for managing operational risks, compliance reviews, audits, exams, and vendor management. There are three divisions that handle various aspects of the work and partner horizontally to ensure robust risk awareness. A summer associate will work to provide data that synthesizes the various aspects of our lending risk environment to provide valuable insights to our business partners.
Potential Projects:
Create a reporting structure that measures various aspects of our risk environment and generates useful dashboards for executive leaders.
Create scorecards for measuring and managing work progress.
Create reporting for key risk indicators that would proactively signal possible gaps in risk management.
Responsibilities
Provide support to Lending Risk through leading and supporting key projects and initiatives
Support business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments
Collaborate with management and personnel to optimize risk assessment scope development
Gather and synthesize data; present conclusions and offer risk mitigation, remediation, and process improvement solutions to management
Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as a priority
Process and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reports
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Effective research and analytical skills
Effective skill using innovative thinking to solve problems and facilitate the decision-making process
Effective skill in maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions

Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
