Description
As an L5 Integrated Power System (IPS) Sr Controls Developer/Architect, you will successfully assist cross functional teams to define and develop control system algorithms for power systems that drive customer value. The algorithms will integrate power system components to optimize system and machine efficiencies, ease of use, and system protections. Included in these responsibilities are working with the internal clients and process partners to transform functional requirements into software features, implementing these features and verifying/ validating the controls and software in Software/Model/Hardware in the loop and on machine testing environments. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of projects, continually learn, and stay abreast of innovative technology, mentor and coach team members, and broaden your professional network. The ability to understand complex systems and interactions is a challenge for this position.
Job Duties
Research and develop new technology
Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas
Design and promote new features and controls
Evaluate new products, processes, or systems
Test and tune controls in a variety of environments (SIL, MIL, HIL, on-machine)
Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units
Conduct peer code reviews
Perform product maintenance
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum
8+ years relevant work experience
5+ years control software development and validation experience
Top Candidates will also have
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Ag Engineering with focus on control systems or mechatronics
Master's degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum
Experience in software, systems, or simulation development
Understanding of machine controls
Experience working with powertrain, implement or other machine control systems
Proficient in analyzing data from machines
Ability to work with a high paced team
Excellent communication skills
Emphasis on initiative and self-starting tasks
Knowledge of new product development processes
Machine application knowledge
Additional Information
The location for this position is Mossville, IL or Aurora, IL.
Domestic relocation assistance available for this position.
This position may require up to 10% travel.
