Summary You will serve as a Financial Management analyst within NAVSUP at CNSSC FLD DET MECH PA. Responsibilities You will utilize automated financial systems to extract, interpret, and analyze financial reports and statistical data. You will analyze and interpret financial data from multiple financial systems to identify issues and determine trends. You will evaluate and identifying accounting system deficiencies, policy issues, training needs and problems to take or recommend corrective action. You will advise or assist management on accounting and financial system matters. You will have a firm grasp and knowledge base of Appropriations Law and the differences between NWCF and GF monies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For GS-13 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Financial Management Analyst experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying principles, concepts, and practices concerning financial management and accounting in order to provide subject matter expertise and technical support for Navy ERP finance and accounting business processes. Specialized experience must include the following:1) Utilizing automated financial systems to extract, interpret, and analyze financial reports and statistical data; 2) Analyzing and interpreting financial data from multiple financial systems to identify issues and determine trends; 3) Evaluating and identifying accounting system deficiencies, policy issues, training needs and problems to take or recommend corrective action; 4) Knowledge of state-of-the-art design methodologies and tools relevant to the design, development, validation, and implementation of the financial system; and 5) Advising or assisting management on account and financial matters specific to Navy Working Capital Fund, Supply Management and Inventory. For GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized Financial Management Analyst experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying principles, concepts and practices to perform assignments concerning financial management, accounting or budget. Specific work experience must demonstrate all of the following 1) Utilizing automated financial systems to extract and interpret financial reports; 2) Demonstrating problem solving and critical thinking skills; 3) Mining and interpreting financial and logistical data from basic business systems to identify issues; 4) Managing financial system requirements with end users and sustaining a steady state of successful business practices and operations; and 5) Communicating with stakeholders concerning financial operations, overall financial status, and financial issues.
