This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance post-employment.

This PMS-ES Systems Analyst will be on a dynamic team, providing help desk support to our DoD Client located in our Washington, DC location. You'll be responsible for providing administrative, operational, and programmatic support for a Government Owned - Contractor Operated Integrated Data Environment (IDE) System. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact with our US Navy clients.

Serco supports the US Navy with the Government Owned, Contractor Operated (GOCO) Project Management System - Extranet Sites (PMS-ES) information system. PMS-ES was purpose-built to meet the data and workflow management needs unique to Navy acquisition programs and provides the ability to securely transmit and process information and data deliverables across the various ship design projects, activities, processes, and functions. You will be part of a 12-member team that works closely with the Navy customer and the users of the PMS-ES system.

In this role you will:

  • Manage and navigate multiple system applications in depth and provide initial triage of user reported issues.

  • Interface with system users to troubleshoot reported issues (e.g. user access, application how-to, or application errors) and make informed recommendations.

  • Enter reported issues in a tracking system and follow through to resolution.

  • Coordinate with software developers to provide details of reported issues.

  • Conduct functional testing and validation of the system and application fixes/updates.

  • Interface with Navy project staff to obtain relevant information to accomplish application data setup or modification.

  • Provide system and application training to the user community.

  • Develop technical documentation (e.g. training materials and user manuals).

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree plus 5-7 years of experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for comparable work experience.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Must be able to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance post-employment.

  • Must be able to work a flexible shift between 7 am and 7 pm EST, Monday through Friday.

  • Customer service oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a timely manner.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
