Summary You will serve as a Procurement Technician in the Contract Department's Policy Division of NAVSUP FLC PUGET SOUND. Responsibilities You will prepare contract documentation/reports utilizing office automation equipment to provide a full range of contract support functions. You will provide contracting personnel with technical and administrative assistance. You will track and monitor all annual requirements and option exercise dates. You will generate appropriate letters to customer activities and contractors to ensure appropriate award, renewal, or exercise of options. You will use automated systems to provide reports on the status of contracts. You will maintain hardcopy and electronic copy files in accordance with regulations and standard operating procedures. You will assist in the closeout of contract files. You will provide technical direction/clarification and guidance to contract specifications included in statement of work. You will order supplies and manage the department?s supply room. You will coordinate actions in support of in-processing of new employees to include training. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing clerical and technical work that supports the procurement of supplies, services, and/or construction. Examples of specialized experience may include some of the following: 1) Utilize various automated systems to prepare contract documentation and reports including letters, forms, presentations, and spreadsheets; 2) Performing administrative and clerical operations and procedures to provide contract support functions; 3) Prepare and distribute the monthly production report; 4) Provide contracting personnel with technical and administrative assistance.
