Job Description:
In this role, the Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) will assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in administering and managing the Parsons Huntsville Security Program, providing policies, plans, procedures, departmental instructions, and technical support of safeguards and security (S&S) programs to protect client security interests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as the chief assistant to the FSO regarding not only implementation of security policy and procedures but also in assisting with the management of other security team members' daily functions.
Oversees day-to-day Industrial security facility operations and administering industrial security programs in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), applicable laws, regulations, and DoD contractual requirements.
Manages the processing of security clearance paperwork, including collection and review of relevant documents and information for completeness, consistency, and accuracy
Maintains personnel security records and databases, including quality assurance and control of the fingerprinting process.
Ensures compliance with all security requirements for the marking, handling, and safeguarding of classified information received and stored within the facility, to include both information and physical security policy and procedures.
Manages, prepares, and tracks all Department of Defense Contract Security Classification Specifications(DD Form 254s) provided from the government/prime contractor as well as those necessary for distribution to subcontractors
Implements Security Education, Training, and Awareness Programs
Executes visitor control functions to include processing of incoming and outgoing visit requests and verifying incoming visitor identification, prior to allowing access to classified information
Verifies preparation of essential reports, troubleshooting industrial security issues, and providing assistance in resolving all concerns and queries from government agencies and company management.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
10+ years of relevant facility security experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
Must have a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
Must be able to pass a CI Poly
Will have knowledge of both the work processes of document control and also the use of electronic systems used to manage documentation
Experience with incoming and outgoing foreign visits
Conduct facility inspections to verify the physical security standards for the protection of Collateral information
Prepare written reports documenting security findings and discrepancies
Experience in writing security section of proposals
Experience in executing National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements
Must be a US Citizen
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Industrial Security Professionals (ISP) Certification
DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification (Security Fundamentals Professional (SFPC), Industrial Security Oversight (ISOC), etc.)
Experience with SIMS software

Salary Range:
$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
