As Project ManagerofLand Development for Bonaventure youwill be responsible for managing all land development and civil engineering related aspects of a project from initial site acquisition, through the design development stage, construction document preparation process and finally through construction.You are thesubject matter expert in civil engineering and site design with experience in reviewing prospective development sites, providing critical analysis of consultant plans and reports, and driving innovative design solutions by coordinating the work of multiple teams.You will utilize your skills to promote collaboration and to influence positive outcomes that ensure land use is strategized, to identify development constraints and to direct an action plan to resolve those issues, and to ensure technically sound site plans are developed and executed upon throughout the processthrough detailed due diligence. Your expertise in navigating the site plan process quickly and efficiently while simultaneously ensuring the best possible design is achieved is tantamount to driving successful outcomes for Bonaventure's pipeline. Under the direction ofDirector of Land Development,you will foster an innovative team environment that is pro-active in tackling both foreseen and unknown obstacles, working closely with Design, Investments, and Construction teams throughout the life of a project. WhatYouWillDo:
Evaluate new opportunities from a land development standpoint during due diligence. Work with Design, Investment and Construction teams to refine the initial concept plans while striving toreduce changes which add unnecessary site cost to Bonaventure
Manage consultants in the areas of civil engineering, surveying, environmental, geotechnical, wetlands, traffic and dry utility during entitlements, design, and construction
Ensure coordination and collaboration amongst the design teams by creating urgency daily, offering innovative solutions and driving results
Coordinate review comments with consultants and strategize responses before resubmittal
Manage consultant contracts during design and construction
Assist in communication and coordination of the land development design between the civil engineer, dry utility consultant, architectural team, and landscape architect
Evaluate sitework bids and support Construction in preparation of the budget while ensuring project controls - cost and schedule - are maintained in accordance with the Investment team's proforma
Oversee and direct the successful resolution of technical challenges that arise during construction
Who You Are:
ProfessionalEngineering Degree Required(specialty in Land Planning and Site Development preferred)
5+ years of experience in civil engineering and management, with working knowledge of current industry standards,issues,and solutions
Excellent attention to detail and technical written, verbal, and oral communication
Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to influence others and direct a team of professionals toward successful outcomes at all stages of the land development process
A driver of results that delivers impact and urgencywith third party consultants
Demonstrates understandingof approval processes; HUD design/approval process a bonus
Knowledge andproficiencywith Microsoft Office,AutoCad, Revit,BlueBeamand Procore.Note:Not all arerequiredinitially for theposition,but will be expected to becomeknowledgeable.
Position requires overnight travel as needed.
