GENERAL SUMMARY
The Forensic Services Manager reports to the Executive Director of CAP and is responsible for the coordination of Case Management/Advocacy, Forensic Interviewers, community and internal training, daily operations, quality improvement, and staff orientation and development, while providing forensic interviews and advocacy coverage on an as needed basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides administrative oversight of daily operations of forensic services.
Assists with developing department policies/procedures and standards for forensic services; ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory agencies.
Supervises assigned key staff including staff orientation, staff development, coordinating peer reviews and ongoing education; oversees Forensic Interviewers and Case Managers.
Manages the development of team/program goals, case assignments, reviewing and evaluating the work of forensic staff.
Facilitates recruitment, hiring, training, performance review, and competency of forensic staff for performance of job roles.
Evaluates department productivity; recommends strategies to streamline work processes and improve services.
Provides and coordinates presentations on requests to community partners and internal staff.
Acts as a resource to staff for decision making and conflict resolution related to referrals, client care, case management, etc.
Provides oversight and participates in department related committees.
Performs other duties as directed.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
None required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in one of the following: Business Administration, Human Services or another departmentally related field.
Five to seven years progressively more responsible experience required.
Two to five years of hospital managerial work preferred.
Must be able to plan, supervise and establish a professional working environment within areas of responsibility.
Must possess the ability to identify problems and implement solutions for operational and organizational issues.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to direct and assign work to subordinates, explain hospital and department policies and procedures and communicate effectively with other professionals.
Must possess advanced verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Increased Security Clearance Required for Job Roles in Medical Tower II: FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, and Child Protective Services registry search.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
