Job Summary:
The People Team Business Advisor (PTBA) provides consulting to people leaders as well as provides support with other needs related to human capital. This position works with the People Team Business Partners and business leaders to advance departmental goals and people strategies.
The PTBA is accountable for supporting the organizational health of assigned business areas, providing 1:1 coaching and guidance, and assisting leaders in thinking through how to appropriately assign and align work and people, how to grow leaders, and how to create an engaged and productive culture.
Principle Duties:
In collaboration with the People Team Business Partners and functional areas, represent a holistic and integrated People function to the business.
Provide initial diagnostic level advice to business leaders and know when to engage People Team functional areas as necessary.
Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and support in the effective prioritization and delivery of an engaging associate experience.
Use relevant PT metrics, engagement feedback and -on the ground- insights to identify areas of focus. Leverage broad HR knowledge to engage the appropriate solutions and to assist in the development of people leaders.
Monitor Talent Management system operations and objectives against the execution of workforce plans to ensure plans are aligned with corporate goals, values and competencies
Consult on and support the delivery of talent management processes (e.g. talent management, succession planning, leadership development)
Assist in the development of key talent by advising leadership on opportunities such as job rotations, mentoring, special educational experiences, and coaching. Ensure focused and customized development plans and strategies are executed and monitored.
Working with the People Team Business Partners, collaborate with leaders in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of workforce plans to meet the needs of the business and the strategic intent of the organization.
Assist the People Team Business Partners with the planning, development and implementation of new or updated organization structures to ensure alignment of business goals while attaining organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Understand business areas' work, priorities, interdependencies with other functions, and strategies in order to help support the business' goals.
Participate in collective bargaining contract agreements and negotiations where appropriate

Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of business experience in Human Resources, Organization Effectiveness, or another related field.
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Previous experience managing the business/HR relationship and partnership
Working knowledge of employment law and its practical application
Working knowledge of all key HR skill areas (e.g., Talent, Engagement, Compensation, Associate Relations) and the use of those areas to drive business performance
Experience working in and driving an agile, matrix, or Innovative environment preferred
