Job Summary:

In this role as a Senior Technical Regulatory Compliance Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Manager and will be primarily responsible for direct and participate in the concept and design of complex engineering product or process projects for release to production in a manner to ensure products meet regulatory requirements while providing superior performance, durability, quality, and serviceability. As a member of the Engineering team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. What you will do:

  • Design and promote new components and sub processes

  • Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas

  • Evaluate new products or processes

  • Perform product maintenance

  • Remain up to date on new regulatory compliance requirements and technologies or develop new technologies

  • Communicate technical information to customers, team members, suppliers and other units

  • Support and advise other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers and suppliers

  • Perform scenario and task based risk assessments to ensure safe and reliable product

  • Ensure proper assessments are performed to meet applicable regulations and compliance requirements

What you will have:

  • Bachelor degree in an accredited Engineering or Materials Science curriculum plus 9-12 years of experience

OR

  • Master's degree in an Engineering or Materials Science curriculum plus 6-8 years of experience

OR

  • Doctorate degree plus 1-2 years of experience.

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments.

  • Requires a self-starter with strong technical leadership skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Additional Information:

The primary location for this position is Tucson, AZ
