CTG is assisting a client for a Remote ITSolutions Architect!
Pay Rate: up to $107.00/hour (based on experience)
Fully remote
The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Scope of Position
The companies IT is seeking an exceptional professional with strong leadership skills to join our team as a Solution Architect for IT Supply Chain and Finance Execution team.
The ideal Solution Architect will operate largely independently in meeting defined objectives and goals and will possess deep subject matter expertise in the business and technical architecture of Finance Applications and will be expected to develop direction for technology with strategic alignment to the needs of the Enterprise.
The Solution Architect will work with SAP Max Attention Architect and Corning Enterprise Architect to define a business and application multi-year technology and capability roadmap.
Role and Responsibilities
Collaborate with Service Lines, Enterprise Architects and Business Engagement to translate business requirements and IT enterprise architecture into well-defined technical solutions/requirements by identify and recommend solution architecture including directionally accurate cost estimates for business cases
Develop design principles, design patterns, position papers and proof of concepts to define technology and capability direction/introduction in alignment with enterprise architecture goals
Provides input into the prioritization of strategic IT investments and introduction of new capability in the Enterprise Business System area; especially Finance
Provide guidance and oversight to project and engineering teams in the build, test and deployment of technical solutions by participate and lead project design sessions to develop end to end solutions for complex business problems
Perform Site/Deploy Assessments to collect, specify and understand requirements and develop functional specification, respectively review design provided by implementation partners
Maintain relationships with key vendors to understand the market trends and direction of associated technologies
Education/Work Experience Requirement
Bachelors degree in IT management, computer science, computer engineering, or management information systems with five years relevant experience
SAP Functional Certifications and/or Experience; especially in Finance/Controlling and SAP Central Finance
10 years of IT or equivalent business/industry work experience in a relevant subject area.
General Required Skills
Extensive experience in working on large scale, mission critical ERP deployment projects including SAP S/4 HANA and especially SAP Central Finance incl. deep understanding of the processes supported by SAP considered best practices
Extensive knowledge of general ERP concepts, trends and industry best practices
Strong knowledge of multi-tier SAP ERP applications architecture and related infrastructure components; including n+1 landscape with multiple ERP instance
SAP Activate, Solution Manager/Focused Build Experience (including Agile Project Management)
Knowledge of MDG and master data management
Exposure to Cloud concepts and delivery of business capability via SaaS model
Demonstrated success working collaboratively with individuals and teams across the company, specifically executives and key stakeholders, utilizing influence, persuasion, leadership, negotiation and group facilitation skills as well as strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Finance Skills and Experience:
Experience in S/4 HANA 1709 or higher for complex multi-country implementations for at least one full implementation/migration project in SAP Central Finance with strong design and configuration skills
Functional/technical proficiency in SAP FICO with at least 3 SAP FICO implementations including business acumen in Financial Services and/or Accounting
Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance and Central Finance including understanding of AIF and technical settings in SAP Central Finance and the necessary landscape design including integration via Magnitude SourceConnect
Experience in Reporting and Analytics with S/4 HANA and Central Finance including configuring document splitting for full balance sheet reporting by different lines of businesses within a company code
FI module components including
General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Banks (including integration), and Treasury
CO module components including Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Product Costing including:
Central Payments and Central Cash Application
SAP Group Reporting (Consolidations)
SAP Treasury Management, Cash Management and Bank Account Management, Profitability Analysis (COPA), Manufacturing Variances and Settlements, and Profit Centers Master Data components including COA, Profit Centers, Cost Centers, Material Master, Vendor Master, Customer Master, Bank Master, BOMs and Routings
