Job Description
As a Supply Chain Planning Analyst 2 on the KK Material Planning team , you preform both operational and tactical work to meet plant material deliverables. You will be responsible for building relationships with your supply base, managing the procurement of Purchase Finished Material from the world wide supply base, working with supply base to deliver parts on time.
Job Duties
Responsible for data analytics and metric reporting within the Drivetrain material requirements planning team. The Drivetrain material requirements team is responsible for purchase finished material availability and assurance of supply to support production of Drivetrain components such as transmissions and torque converters.
Leverages analytics tools such as Tableau, MS Powerpoint, MS Access, MS Excel, PowerBI, and programming tools to develop reporting that allows Caterpillar to identify value, improve operational excellence, and provides insights to the supply chain network
Manages the material requirements team's metric and performance reporting
Provides ad hoc support to the supply chain staff in areas such as projects, reporting, and data analytics
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, supply chain, IT, or engineering
2+ years of data analytics, data science, information technology, or similar type experience
Demonstrated experience with PowerBI, Tableau, MS Access, Advanced Excel and a programming language (SAS, SQL, R, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Proven customer focus and time management skills
Ability to work independently
Basic knowledge of supply chain concepts
Top candidates will also have
APICS, CPIM, or CSPC National certification
Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or import/export operations
Strong experience in programming languages, statistics, or computer science
Project leadership experience or project leadership training
