Works directly with the brands and the various banking providers to provide accurate and timely payments to suppliers and third-party providers. In addition, this role provides oversight to the Travel and Expense process and manages the procurement card relationship. The Accounts Payable Supervisor - Payments is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of expense reports and payments within the various banking platforms to ensure secure data and files.
Key Responsibilities
Oversees the preparation of daily payment registers, including review and approval
Accountably for the successful uploading of positive pay and NACHA files to various banking platforms
Manages the reviews and resolution of positive pay and ACH exceptions to ensure compliance to banking standards
Participates in testing any new banking partnerships to ensure adherence to banking standards
Alerts management team to any potential fraud issues being identified through the banks.
Provides oversight to the Travel & Expense reporting process and ensures timely recording into the ERP
Maintains strong relationships with procurement card (Pcard) provider and monitors the associated file integrations
Provide oversight as to the proper business use of the Pcard for AP vendor related payments.
Maintains strong relationships with brand accounting departments to ensure policy adherence and timely coordination
Create desk level procedures detailing the instructions on how to perform payment processing task. Assist in training other departments on Accounts Payable processes and policies
Maintain policy and procedures for Accounts Payable
Assist with Accounts Payable Research and with other accounting functions as needed
Education Requirements
Experience qualifications
Previous supervisory experience
7+ years high volume accounts payable experience
Minimum 2 years in supervisory or management role
Required Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Ability to work in Excel and Word
System process and controls knowledge
Requires excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication and organizational skills
Ability to interpret and analyze data and make recommendations based on findings
Must be detail oriented
Plans and completes work effectively and efficiently, meets assigned deadlines, and makes sound decisions
Ability to multi-task and shift priorities
Preferred Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
2-3 years Oracle experience
System migration and implementation experience
