Job Description:
The Assembler/Operator's primary function is to perform one or a combination of a variety of tasks utilizing manual dexterity. Working with small, fragile parts, the Assembler/Operator assembles modules that meet all specifications in order to build intensifier tube components. The Assembler/Operator must be able to follow and interpret work instructions and make operation entries on a computer terminal. Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Produce a quality product that meets the customer specifications and maintain sufficient inventory to satisfy internal and external customers
Process components through various assigned assembly operations
Assembly tasks may include soldering, inspections, assembly operations using a microscope
Follow work instructions and make processing entries on computer terminals
Perform work with chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol, acetone, various potting compounds
Excellent manual dexterity; handling and manipulating fragile electronic components
Use Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time to include walking up to 2 miles per day within the department
Physical: Repetitive and/ or continuous physical actively requiring the handling of lightweight materials, small tools, or the operation of light weight equipment.
Mental: Requires close concentration with mental and/ or visual attention to the work. Coordinates manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.
Knowledge of all safety (mechanical, chemical, electrical) procedures applicable to job
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree and 2 years of equivalent experience in shipping/receiving or 6 years of relevant experience with a high school degree.
