Job Description:

  • Caterpillar currently has an opening for a Human Resources Manager at our Denison, Texas manufacturing facility.

  • The Denison site is home to approximately 200 employees in production, support and management roles.

  • The HR Manager position leads a small team who have direct responsibility for labor relations, learning and development, as well as HR policy and practice guidance for the site.

  • This key leadership position has a seat at the business table as a partner and trusted advisor where human resources is an integral part of the business strategy, helping drive the overall facility culture through development and execution of learning, career / personal development and engagement strategies.

Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide direction to Facility Management in interpretation and application of employee-related policies, practices and procedures, governmental regulations, and internal investigations to enhance consistency and drive a positive work environment for the facility

  • Provide employment and personnel services including hiring and onboarding new employees, providing appropriate training, and ensuring a safe work environment

  • Identify and help develop plans that allow strategic, tactical, and practical integration in the areas of organizational effectiveness, change management, talent management, and learning & development

  • Help to clarify, measure, and positively influence consistent behaviors needed to achieve desired business initiatives and results

  • Oversee divisional recognition efforts and programs

  • Carefully evaluate challenges and review a large number of possible solutions before selecting one option. Issues may be complex and can require the incumbent to develop solutions

  • Support and maintain regional point of contacts for competitive businesses for local wage and benefit surveys to be conducted

  • A high degree of curiosity to research, benchmark, create strategic initiatives, and design implementation strategies to improve business results

  • Ability to consider both traditional and non-traditional approaches to human resource management

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business

  • 5+ years' experience in Human Resources

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Extensive background in several of the following human resources areas is required: labor relations, employee benefits, compensation, employment practices, employee development, and training with a working knowledge of operations

The primary location for this position is Denison, TX

Domestic relocation assistance is available
