The Program Manager will support the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Program Office (PNT PO) with ongoing modernization, development, and sustainment of a variety of GPS receivers and GPS User Equipment.
This position will be based at the government program office at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.
Duties include:
Supporting theidentification, documentation, and implementation of acquisition and sustainment related activities to plan, develop, and implement program strategies, milestone preparation, and documentation of these activities in program briefs and reports
Supporting the overall project lead, Integrated Product Teams, conferences, and meetings
Liaising with other AFLCMC Program Offices and operational units
Providing acquisition management support services to in support of the customer's mission
Develop new approaches to problems encountered and support the management of acquisition strategies for assigned projects
Identify, analyze, and make recommendations concerning acquisition process problems, trends, and emerging needs
Perform advanced acquisition planning, including market research and procurement approaches to satisfy mission requirements
Analyze requirements, recommend revisions to work statements. Make recommendations for contract types, establishments of milestones, and all phases of procurement planning
Implement plans by preparing and reviewing detailed acquisition plans/documents, development/production schedules, engineering change proposals, and design studies
Qualifications
To be successful in this position you must have:
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
Bachelor's Degree
10 Years of acquisition experience
Knowledge of defense acquisition management processes per DoD 5000 series directives
Experience in the development, coordination, and execution of major program milestones (preferably ACAT 1 but ACAT II/III acceptable)
Understanding of OSD and USAF acquisitions organizations
Even better if:
15 years related acquisition experience; 4 years in a major system program office
Level III DAWIA or Federal Acquisition Certification (Acquisition Program Manager)
Experience with GPS systems, and aircraft integration
