Join our Serco Fleet team in Dayton, Ohio as a Fleet Administrator II!
The Fleet Administrator (FA) performs a variety of moderately complex-to-complex duties to include supervision of all office functions and is the central point of contact and liaison for administrative issues. Distinguishing characteristics include exceptional functional and situational reasoning skills, advanced verbal aptitude, accounting, data entry, interpersonal and communication skills.
The FA normally works under general supervision but may serve in the capacity of Lead supervising one or more co-workers in an office setting. While workers require some supervision in most assignments, they are free to develop their own work sequences within established procedures, methods and policies. The FA is generally subject to periodic supervisory checks.
As a Fleet Administrator II, you can expect to:
The Fleet Administrator's duties include scheduling appointments, drafting letters and otherwise relieving the Project Manager of clerical work and minor administrative details. Reads and routes incoming mail and monitors electronic mail, prepares outgoing mail, locates and attaches appropriate files to correspondence, transcribes notes on computer, composes and files correspondence and other records. Answer telephones and routes calls to the appropriate official and compiles statistical reports.
The Fleet Administrator's responsibilities include Human Resources, payroll and finance. Human Resource duties include but are not limited to: Orientation of new staff, Human Resource documentation and reporting requirements (EEO, Workers Compensation, OSHA, Etc.). Responsible for the maintenance and security of employee database files and records to include employee vacation and sick time accrued and used.
The Fleet Administrator will be responsible for assisting the manager with customer vehicle licensing and registration, running and analyzing reports, assisting with personnel issues (IT, HR, training, etc.), billing, assisting with scheduling vehicle repairs, and general clerical assistance
The Fleet Administrator's payroll and finance responsibilities include preparation and maintenance of payroll and payroll records, and is the central point of contact for accounts payable and vendor concerns.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent, courses in Business Administration, accounting, communication and/or benefit administration preferred, electronic data system training, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be a citizen of the United States
Must read, write, speak and understand English
Strong analytical, communication, customer service and human relation skills
Superior writing and data entry skills typing 30-50 wpm with high-level proficiency in all PC skills including the use of Internet and word processing MS Word and MS Excel
3-5 years experience in office administration, accounting and business finance
Preferred experience working in a fleet or shop environment (automotive, truck, or equipment shop) as well as service writing/service advisor experience.
