Description:
We have an exciting position open within Caterpillar for a Finance Director/Business Manager.
Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Manage all aspects of financial analysis and reporting, including the Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet statements.
Provide insights on the financial results of the business on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
Implement new tools and analytics to continuously improve the financial analysis and business insights.
Support the Business Strategy Planning, that includes the long-term strategic development and short-term tactical planning to ensure growth and financial success for the business.
Provide business insights in the processes like target costs; cost monitoring; new product introduction analysis; total cost of ownership analysis; investment analysis; financial leadership on mergers and acquisitions. All analysis should consider both perspectives: enterprise and accountable.
Responsible for the analytics based forward-looking outlook for the business (including the product cost monitoring, financial reporting, etc.), and offer insights about actions the business should take to respond to the outlook.
Implement new tools and analytics to continuously improve the financial forecast and cost monitoring processes and forward-looking business insights.
Drive effective and strong coordination with partners across the business.
Effectively lead, influence, and interact with a global and diverse team. Focused on talent development, succession planning, performance management, and target setting.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline
8-10 years of progressively responsible job-related experience
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
MBA, Accounting Certification (CPA / CMA), or Master's degree in a business-related field
Communication and executive presence
Strong analytical skills
Strong people leadership and organization capability building
Ability to influence and engage with a team across multiple geographic locations - nationally & internationally
Strong ability to collaborate and partner across peers and leadership
Ability to take an Enterprise Point of View and lead with Our Values in Action
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Additional Details:
Location: Peoria, IL, Nashville, TN or Irving, TX
Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
25% travel is expected
