Primary work location is Colorado Springs, CO in support of a USSpFTI's work is in support of the Maintenance of Space Situational AwarenessIntegrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) contract which provides sustainmentservices for current and future ground-based Space Situational Awareness(SSA) sensors and Space Battle Management Command and Control (SBMC2)capabilities in the customer's portfolio. Current SSA sensors are theGround-based Electro Optical Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS) systems,the Eglin Radar (AN/FPS-85) in Florida, C-Band Radar in Australia,and the C-Band Radar on Ascension. Additionally, MOSSAIC scope includessensor systems that are transitioning into the MOSSAIC portfolio. These arethe Space Surveillance Telescope (SST) and Space Fence. Current SSA C2 andSpace BMC2 systems are the Distributed Space Command and Control system -Dahlgren (DSC2-D) at Dahlgren, VA, and the Joint Task Force SpaceDefense (JTF-SD) at Schriever Air Force Base (AFB), Colorado (CO).This position will be responsible for systems engineering sustainment dataanalysis of trending, predicting, and forecasting key data sets andmetrics on multiple weapon systems. This is a crucial task in helping keepthese critical national assets running at optimal performance.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate trending and out of tolerance behavior for the system level SpaceDomain Awareness (SDA) metrics.Evaluate trending and out of tolerance system behavior for the Reliability,Availability, and Maintainability metrics as defined by the Department ofthe Air Force Pamphlet (DAFPAM) 63-128, Appendix 6.9.Be able to evaluate, interpret, and apply maintenance data from multiplesources such as IMDS and GOLDesp to look for and track failures.Document failure modes and effects from maintenance data.Strong statistical and data analysis.Experience with Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability metricanalysis.Prepare detailed Sustainability Analysis Report (SAR) for multiple systemstwice yearly as contract required Contract Data List Requirements (CDRL).Write Python scripts to analyze RAM data.Education/Qualifications6+ years with a bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from anaccredited universityDoD Secret security clearanceDesired QualificationsBe creative with metrics and data to continually look for new data sets andmore helpful metrics.Participate in engineering peer reviews as a document originator or reviewer.Continually review existing processes and seek ways to improve upon them.Continually communicate system performance with government customer andL3Harris product lines.Prepare and brief technical presentations for Senior Management and forCustomers.Understand how to write formal reports in Microsoft Word, to includeproperly referencing figures, tables, and equations in a document.Basic understanding of Space Domain Awareness (SDA) missions.Works well in collaborative team environments.Works well in collaborative customer environments.Excellent communication and presentation skillsAs a condition of employment, you will be required prior to startingemployment to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID 19(unless prohibited by applicable law).
