The responsibility of this position is for designing, implementing and supporting the infrastructure to support the business objectives of the company. This position will ensure maximum availability, reliability, and performance of related infrastructure and systems (both on prem and in the cloud). In addition to strong technical skills, the ideal applicant can manage projects and communicate well within the department as well as across departments.
Manage environment of Windows Servers
Work with 3rd party vendor to manage patching
Respond to and remediate alerts
Up, down, drive space, etc
Build, decom, clone servers as necessary
Utilize / manipulate / configure enterprise technology to present solutions
Firewall rules allowing and permitting access as desired
Configure web site clusters and endpoints on load balancers (including SSL termination)
Present servers and instances to meet business needs
Administration of enterprise services (on prem and in cloud)
Manage internal and external DNS
Manage underlying server infrastructure
Work with 3rd party vendor to resolve alerts (including failed hardware)
Work with 3rd party vendor to install updates to environment
Can require being in datacenter
Maintain business processes
Work with in house and offshore IT staff to resolve server / service issues that may impact business processes
Ensure all maintenance is scheduled and communicated with IT and business as necessary
Compliance and administration
Manage, document, and rotate service accounts
Ensure proper separation of duties by way of permissions, group membership, privileged accounts, etc
Collect, present, and maintain compliance / audit related artifacts and evidence
Cut accounts in the Active Directory
Administer access to enterprise application
M365, Okta, etc
Strong troubleshooter experience
Ability to be a generator of solutions not just reporting of errors and issues
Effectively work issues to completion
Ability to manage multi-tier projects
Ability to bird dog vendors and 3rd party resources
Ability to propose ideas and plans (up and down chain of command)
Well written and verbal communicator
Ability to write change controls, SOPs, and incident communications
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to take a problem and turn it into a solution
