JOB SUMMARY:

Grow the business, improve efficiencies and delight customers through digital channels. Create strategies, develop new solutions and deploy functionality, reporting and adjustments for all global Cat Financial interactions for customers and dealers. Manage a team of digital specialists to execute upon the strategy, each with a focus on driving results for their respective portion of the customer or dealer journey.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as the Business Owner for the following systems/technology: Web, leads, mobile applications, DocuSign, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Online Account Management, Marketing and Service Automation.

  • Develops and executes the digital vision and strategy for Cat Financial continually reviewing the need for changes to the vision.

  • Monitors trends in digital tools and applications; experiments with new and alternative ways to leverage technology for the organization.

  • Supervises activities, performance results, and skill development of a skilled team of digital specialists to ensure goals are achieved and continued personal growth of personnel.

  • Manages and collaborates with Caterpillar business units and dealers on all sales lead generation, marketing automation initiatives and other technology based sales and marketing initiatives.

  • Collaborates with multiple departments to ensure proper integration of digital elements within the overall marketing strategy.

  • Monitors trends in digital tools and applications; experiments with new and alternative ways to leverage digital experiences for the organization.

  • Works with internal and external teams to define requirements, draft proposals and develop creative concepts and new technology.

  • Works with IS developers, business analysts and support teams to address technical implementation issues.

  • Works closely with Marketing Communicators and Caterpillar's Marketing & Digital teams to develop new/optimized content and align strategies.

  • Provides reporting on all major channels with clearly stated goals and action items for team members.

  • Utilizes reporting to calculate the project ROI for digital technologies.

  • Ensures the correct use of the corporate identity, both internally and externally, as a Brand Advocate for Cat Financial.

  • Advanced knowledge of and the ability to create and implement a vision and achieve goals related to all digital initiatives.

  • Ability to manage people, create SMART goals and ensure personal development of Caterpillar employees.

  • Advanced ability to promote and protect the Cat and Cat Financial brand online.

  • Advanced knowledge of Internet project development and technology.

  • Advanced knowledge of marketing automation tools and trends.

  • Advanced knowledge of mobile applications and trends.

  • Advanced ability to generate appropriate enthusiasm and involvement internally for Cat Financial digital projects.

  • Working knowledge of production processes and agency billing practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment with subject-matter experts and creative resources.

  • Advanced ability in project management.

  • Advanced ability in applying general guidelines to specific projects.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability in technical systems, including the networking requirements of systems to support websites.

  • Advanced ability to interact with professionals in highly diverse environments with a professional demeanor and a sales-focused orientation.

  • Advanced ability to plan and manage multiple priorities.

  • Proven attention to detail.

  • Advanced ability to remain flexible as situations change rapidly.

  • Ability to drive a car or arrange for adequate transportation to and from CFSC business units, vendors' offices, etc.

  • Ability to use a computer up to 90% of the day.

  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time on a worldwide basis.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A 4-year college or university degree in any of the business disciplines and a minimum of 10 years exempt experience in one or more of the following areas: technology strategist, product management (technology focused), development of Internet and mobile sites, social media strategist or web manager is recommended.

  • Demonstrated superior digital skills including development of vision, strategy and execution of a web presence are recommended.

  • Demonstrated experience in digital strategy execution including, but not limited to, creating and customizing profiles, blogging, online interaction, coordinating content to post, responding to comments and tracking effectiveness is recommended.

  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

  • Previous work experience must be progressively increasing in responsibility and accountability and demonstrate an ability to gain knowledge, skills, and responsibility such that a level of full competency can be reached.

  • Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
