Senior Help Desk Specialist - Scott AFB, IL

Serco is seeking a Senior Help Desk Specialist to join our team supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) on the Global Information Grid Services Management-Operations (GSM-O) II contract. The Senior Help Desk Specialist will assist Department of Defense (DoD) Information Network (DODIN)/Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) customers across the globe.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform shift work in a 24x7x365 Global Operations Center (GOC).

  • Respond to and diagnoses problems through discussion with end-users.

  • Ensures a timely process through which problems are controlled.

  • Identify, research, isolate, and resolve technical problems through discussions with users.

  • Provide service Level 1 and Level 2 assistance working with three levels of Subject Matter Experts (SME)s / advanced SME teams.

  • Assist global enterprise data analytic team customers with Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model layer database Configuration Management (CM) engineering.

  • Perform triage troubleshooting with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and numerous enterprise network tool enclaves.

  • Evaluate analytical and systematical problems of workflows, organization, and planning and assists the Master Help Desk Specialist to develop appropriate corrective action.

  • Under the supervision of the Master Help Desk Specialist coordinate closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications.

  • Assist the Master Help Desk Specialist with the supervision of lower-level Help Desk Specialists and fill in for the Master Help Desk Specialist during his/her absence periods.

  • Develop, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions.

  • Support other contract functional areas as required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Must possess a Secret or higher clearance.

  • CompTIA Security+ or Windows 10 MCSA certification required.

  • High School Diploma and 7+ years of related experience required.
