Overview
The Business Governance team oversees policies and procedures governance and oversight, systems access and oversight, training, vendor management, and audits for Business Savings and Membership teams.
The Summer Associate will assist with projects and programs impacting the Business Member Experience. Work may include but is not limited to:
Process mapping
Research on policies and procedures
Research on laws and regulations
System requirement writing and system testing
Presentations
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2024 and ending in August 2024. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2024 or later.
Responsibilities
Coordinate implementation of key projects involving Member Experience with appropriate personnel within the division and/or across divisional lines; monitor progress of projects; address and resolve issues
Identify areas of improvement, develop and analyze new approaches, make recommendations, and implement approved solutions to improve operations, standards, and results
Review, analyze, and report on Business Solution's policy and procedural framework as directed
Assist with mitigating risk and remediating operational and regulatory vulnerabilities by leading compliance-related initiatives and remediations
Develop, lead, and recommend approval for the development of internal infrastructure to support risk mitigation improvements and prioritization of internal projects
Qualifications
Experience in researching, compiling, and documenting data, business processes, and workflow
Exposure to providing support in content design, storyboarding eLearning content, creating job aids, root cause/task analysis, etc.
Familiarity with automated systems
Experience in the financial industry and a good understanding of operational and regulatory risks and controls
Experience in drafting policies and procedures
Working knowledge of, and proficiency in, data analysis, reporting, forecasting, and operations research
Experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM EST

Location will be hybrid at a main campus (HQ, PCC or WOC)
