Summary You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Business Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PUGET SOUND. Responsibilities You will have thorough knowledge of procedures and directives related to acquisition and disposal of a wide range of materials. You will have knowledge of the Hazardous Material Management Program and Authorized User List to ensure proper and legal management of inbound hazardous materials. You will have thorough knowledge of commercial supply sources and common business practices related to sources of supply, procurement, units of measurement, and delivery/shipment methods to procure supplies and services for NAVSUP FLCPS. You will identify, analyze, gather information, and develop solutions to resolve logistical issues when procuring supplies and services for departments at NAVSUP FLCPS. You will document procurement actions and material receipt in a supply database to keep accurate records and maintain supply data and develop procurement metrics. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Supply Technician experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, day to day servicing techniques and instructions sufficient to provide technical supply support work and related to supply operations and program requirements. I have experience conducting causative research to resolve discrepancies issues concerning supply requirements, such as regulated supply items, transportation, customer turn-ins, and or requests. I utilize various automated supply information management systems to process input, update, audit, and manipulate date for work operations and report generations. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Receiving, issuing supplies/materials, conducting inventory, storing materials, and facilitating the acquisition of materials and services to resolve acquisition problems on behalf of all NAVSUP FLCPS departments; 2)Utilizing various computer systems such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP), Maximo Facility Asset Maintenance Management System, and similar computer systems to process requisitions, input data, perform records search, and conduct inventory of supplies and or materials; 3) Conducting causative research and or coordinating with various personnel agencies to resolve a wide variety of supply discrepancies/ issues; 4) Conducting extensive research to determine the availability of supplies, equipment, and services, assist requestors to determine source of supply and make recommendations to maximize the use of preferred sources of supply.
