POSITION SUMMARY
As Team Lead - Assembly, you will provide the daily leadership of an assembly team to ensure the group achieves the production efficiency and quality of work required. A high level of responsibility is expected in this position. As an extension of management, this role helps drive the continual implementation of process improvements to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and meet delivery expectations of our customers on a consistent basis.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Reviews / updates Shop Floor Management (SFM) boards daily, leads meetings with team members, and reviews the daily plan, and addresses concerns relative to company goals.- Leads problem solving efforts at the team level - Helps to plan daily work assignments and requests overtime as required - Provides assistance to team member as needed - Escalates problems / concerns to the proper level or department - Maintains on time completion of shop orders and delivery dates - Stimulates maximum efficiency and productivity of team members - Meets production quality standards - Reports metrics and KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) as needed - Leads continuous improvement projects at team member level - Maintains quality goals set by management - Maintains regular communication with interrelated departments. - Reviews test requirements, shop routing, process sheets, and pump load sheet in preparation for work to be accomplished - Reviews bill of material (BOM) - Studies and interprets assembly instructions/ standard work instructions. - Verifies specifications - Determines if all parts are present - Assembles tools and materials - Positions or align components for sub-assembly, assembly, manually or using hoists - Assembles components - Ensures all parts are fitted and screwed in properly - Interprets measurements - Sets and verifies parts clearances - Troubleshoots test failures and perform repairs as needed - Repairs warranty pumps - Ensures working environment is clean and safe - Rejects product which does not conform to specifications - Completes quality control forms/ tags - Reports errors in product line - Checks stock to ensure inventory is replenished

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): RequiredAssociate's Degree (two-year college or technical school) Field of Study: (Mechanical Technology, EngineeringTechnology, General Mechanics), technical school, or work equivalent: Preferred
Experience:
5+ years' experience in general assembly work or mechanical trade work: RequiredProficient in use of measuring instruments, such as calipers, feeler gauges, or micrometers: Required3+ years' experience with pneumatic driven tools (air screw guns, etc.) and hand tools (mallet, hammer, screw driver, t-handle key sets, etc.): PreferredMay serve as Value Stream Group Leader.
Computer Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office package: Required
